Zirconium / Zr 702

Zirconium has a passivating oxide layer (ZrO2), which renews itself on contact with aqueous media keep telling yourself. Among other advantages, features zirconium Zr702 resistance to almost all organic acids, mineral acids and alkaline solutions. Zirconium 702 is good for welding and fully recyclable. At low temperatures, it is also very ductile.

Main fields of application of Zr 702

Zr702 zirconium is used in chemical plants in valves, pipes, heat exchangers and pumps. These systems are, for example, apparatus for the production of acetic acid, hydrochloric acid or urea. Even in the medical field Zr702 is used because it is biocompatible and shows no toxic effects. Another application of zirconium 702 is the nuclear technology.
